Custom designed for Transfers, Video Editing and Graphics insertion, this 248 square foot rectangular edit suite can easily seat 5 comfortably. Perfect for digital editing of analogue (SVHS, SVHS, BetaSP) and DV source material from Firewire drives, MiniDV or HDV tapes and DVD discs, this zone is fully equipped with several Mac and PC computers running current versions of AVID HD and Final Cut Pro HD digital non-linear video editing software. The computers are linked to an array of fast Firewire hard drives for digital audio/video file capture & storage. Our workstation is also loaded with graphics, titling, color-correction, audio effects generation, photo enhancement, and graphics creation programs such as Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, Protools LE, Motion, Live Type, Waves, Soundtrack, and many others. This edit area also has been acoustically treated and boasts Tannoy studio speakers and a versatile analog 8-channel audio mixer and is stocked with a vast collection of Royalty-Free sound effects and instrumental soundtrack recordings. Images can be viewed on high-resolution flat panel LCD displays, a broadcast calibrated NTSC monitor, and a 24" Sony Trinitron tube television as a client monitor.

Our unique broadcast certified Master-Control Room is suggested for use for projects destined for television broadcast, High Definition DVD, or cinematic release. Easily configurable for the editing and digital manipulation of even the highest resolution uncompressed Standard & High Definition video formats, this specialized zone contains well over 3,000 cubic feet of top level professional broadcast hardware and several state-of-the-art dual processor computing workstations. Customizable media storage solutions in our Master-Control include external SATA and Firewire drive arrays for compressed video material, and available Raptor RAID arrays for uncompressed video, graphics and other High Definition Video requirements.

This part of our facility offers a new AVID STUDIO COMPLETE HD editing station, as well as FINAL CUT PRO HD, a massive PROTOOLS HD2 ACCEL hard disc digital audio recording system, and 2 fully automated digital mixing consoles. This creative workspace seats 7, and upon request can be equipped for specialized video capture and output from compressed or uncompressed broadcast and cinematic formats such as MiniDV, DVC, HDV, DVD, and BetaSP. Video monitoring here is achieved via a selection of dual HDTV ready 16:9 flat panel lcd screens, dual NTSC monitors, a Knoll Systems 1080i HDTV projection system with Carl Zeiss optics, and a variety of flat panel and tube style client monitors. This stunning room has perhaps the finest acoustics of any edit zone in Canada!, and is equipped with amazing Dynaudio BM15 speakers in both stereo and available AES/EBU/SMPTE 5.1 channel surround sound studio configurations. This is where we use SMPTE and black burst sync lock to picture for frame accurate audio postproduction requirements such as sound effects editing, sound design adr, foley, and voice-overs. In conjunction with our adjacent digital audio recording studios, we can create original soundtrack music tailored you your project's specific needs.
